Game exits without error on load [with old Geforce drivers possibly?]

On running the game for the first time, the loading screen appeared for a few seconds and then crashed to desktop with no error message. There was no log file or crash dump I could locate. Tried a few more times with the same results.

After updating my graphics drivers from 555.99 to 560.81 and restarting my PC, the problem was resolved.
