Game Crashed, got a temp ban as a result...

I was mid match and my game crashed. An error popped up telling me to verify my game files, and so I did. Not the most ideal time to have to verify game files, but oh well. Only when I did verify the game, it was stuck at 0% and wouldn't move. I left it a little bit knowing that sometimes it takes some time to "warm up" before actually verifying.

After a couple of minutes, still nothing. So I restarted my computer in hopes it would fix it, after rebooting my PC the game wouldn't even load. It just added it to my download queue, but wouldn't actually download anything and kept saying "Verifying game files 0%". I left it again a few minutes, still nothing. And then decided, screw it I'll just re-install it. I have good internet, it shouldn't take long.

So I uninstalled the game, and then set it to download. Only it was still just sitting in my 'scheduled' queue, and whenever I tried to set it to download it would instantly bump back down to the scheduled queue. I decided to restart my PC again just in case, this time when my PC rebooted it began downloading. It was working thank god. The download quickly finished and I rejoined the match, I'd been missing quite awhile and fell quite far behind.

I didn't want to be a total waste of space for our team so I farmed where I could and helped hold the enemy team back where I could, by the end of the game (we lost) I was at on par with the rest of my team in terms of farm and even though I was missing for half the match - I was still fairly close to most of my other team mates in player damage. Basically, I didn't rejoin and just do nothing. I still tried.

The game ended, and now I have a 6hr temp ban. I know it's only 6 hours, but that means that I got temporarily banned for something completely out of my control. It was entirely the games fault, a bug or something or other caused me to crash and I am getting punished for it. And the fact that it's a 6hr temp ban leads me to believe that even though my going AFK was entirely out of my control, if I crash again like this in the future it will be an even longer temporary ban for something that is once again out of my control.

I understand the temporary ban is there to reduce the amount of people rage quitting and going AFK, but in situations like this it just isn't fair.
