Game crash on startup

So as of the latest update with the rank changes, my game has been consitently crashing on startup, now I do run the game with visual modifications using the ModLauncher and deleting/ resetting mods seems to sometimes fix the problem, and othertimes not, also the game seemingly sometimes manages to run the game with the mods and then sometimes not.
I've tried reinstalling, verifying my files, making a complete clean reinstall, changing the rendering options through startup, also restarted steam, and it seems to almost be random when the game actually decides to boot up properly.
I'd love to get some advice or help, I've basically tried everything and mostly everything seems to only work partially.

I have been experiencing the same issue. Don't use any mods, and I think this actually started happening before that update but I'm not sure. Definitely became more of a reoccurring issue post-update. Reinstalling, verifying, and clearing/resyncing userdata did not change anything for me. Previously, restarting steam would work for me but now a full system restart is the only way for me to start the game without crashing. Basically every time I start my PC and start Deadlock it crashes, I restart my PC, and it starts without crashing.
