Friend unable to launch Deadlock Playtest

I invited my friend to play the Deadlock Playtest but unfortunately they're getting an error on startup. The error window outputs this:

Failed to initialize NVIDIA driver!
NVIDIA driver profile error at NVAPI_ACCESS_DENIED
Please visit NVIDIA website to get the most recent version of the graphics drivers and restore your application driver profile and global driver profile to NVIDIA defaults.

No other games give them this error. The trouble-shooting steps they have taken include:

• Restarting the game
• Restarting their computer
• Verifying game files
• Reinstalling the game
• Reinstalling drivers
• Updating drives to latest version
• Following the Error window's directions and restoring driver profile to NVIDIA default
• Running program as Administrator
• And finally, trying troubleshooting for a similar problem for CS2 (Error found on Reddit)

None of these troubleshooting steps have fixed the problem. I am unable to play with my friend.
Any help would be appreciated.

Issue resolved!

My friend says "I had to go into the apps and features [of Windows] and uninstalled all of the nvidia programs, then i redownloaded geforce experience and used that to redownload the latest driver."
