FRAMETIME Heavy stuttering / FPS + reproducing

I'm having the same issue, unplayable 100-150MS frametime which goes away when alt-tabbing and then returns a few seconds later, sometimes disconnecting from the game and rejoining fixes it for a few minutes. I did notice it only shows up on the main map (including when it's empty), if I load into the hotel/sandbox with multiple people and spam abilities I get a stable capped framerate with no issues. No issues with other games either.

I've changed nothing on my setup but this issue vanished this afternoon and the game has been playable for the rest of the day. Bizarre, maybe it was a server issue?

Same... Shame this hasn't gotten any official response yet... would be nice to at least know it is being worked on... here's a copy of the reddit post I made:
For quite some time now (about the time they started introducing new characters) i've been getting pretty severe performance issues. The trend is that the game starts out mostly fine; everything runs smooth, without noticeable drops. But after some time (either during the first or second match, usually) there's this transition point where the frame drop instantly becomes apparent and does not recover from that point onward. And these aren't mild drop either... Feels like <10fps in team fight (i.e. unplayable)

The suggestions I've read usually point to restarting the game as being the fix. However, this does not work. Once I'm in a match with horrible performance, I can restart as many time as I want... It doesn't fix this issue. Does anyone recognize what I'm describing? And has there been any confirmation from Valve that this is an ongoing issue? By the way, I have a high-end PC and can run any modern games on ultra settings, no issues.

I've had this ever since Rem dropped. It went away by itself after a while, but now it's back. Couldn't find a fix or a workaround anywhere. Have stable 140 fps even during teamfights otherwise. Reconnecting only helps half the time, when the drop isn't severe enough yet. Basically, the more times I reconnect, the stronger it comes back, and eventually I start getting 10 fps even in hub area.

I've had this issue consistently. It always happens at around the 15 min mark for me and always right as I enter a teamfight. It drops initially to about 45 frames and continues to drop to about 10 FPS in 10-ish mins, with or without teamfights. This has only started to happen since the huge balance patch and has happened every match I've played since.

seem like lots of people having similar issues, where initially everything seems fine, then there's a transition moment where things start to become annoying... and then slowly degrading to unplayable... Please if any dev is reading along with these threads, let us at least know you're working on it... Right now I am trying the game every two days or so to check if anything has changed, and it is absolutely miserable, because after just a short time I am useless to me team. Feels bad :<

bump

I've had these issues for 2 weeks, and I think I'm kinda done trying to fix this. It's not worth it to go further as an end-user. This is just a summary of everything I've tried, so that other people can evaluate if they wish to potentially waste their time (or not).

It was worse before the tweaks, but the final numbers for me are:

~260 fps in hideout.
~500 fps in the loading screen after match is found.
~190 fps when turning 180 degrees when spawning into an empty NYC, and staring at the back wall of the spawn.
~100 fps when turning back around, and facing mid.
~80 in the zipline while riding towards mid.
~110 fps when afk at the top of mid-bridge, looking directly forward (towards enemy spawn).
~90 in early game teamfights.
<60 fps in late game.
<40 fps at worst. Can happen in late game duels with only 1 enemy player on the screen.

This is all while at 20%-50% CPU and GPU usage, 3.5GB/8GB VRAM, and at the best around 12GB/32GB RAM. Console is giving warnings of thread starvation.

Here's a list of everything I've tried. If something is missing, it's more likely I forgot adding it, than not having tried it.

- lower/higher values for every cvar not tagged as cheat. I used cvarlist and went through the whole list line-by-line.
- OptimizationLock / Piggy's config. Tuned down further, disabled ragdolls etc..
- several dozen iterations of trying config settings not used in the above (ie. increasing texture budget out of curiosity).
- every in-game setting.
- every launch option commonly found on the internet. All fps limiters both on/off.
- different process priority values & processor affinity combinations.
- different Win32PrioritySeparation values.
- clean install of GPU drivers. Deleted GPU caches.
- enabled mod support.
- made sure I'm not participating in Steam beta.
- disabled Steam overlay.
- used Performance Monitor to check nothing else is eating up processor time.
- double checked that other games run just fine.
- run as administrator.
- checked there are firewall exceptions in place for DL.
- graphics -> Deadlock -> made sure the game is using GPU (RTX 4060 8GB).
- different power plans.
- shortly tried Process Lasso.
- network adapter QoS on/off

What I've done already before even trying Deadlock

- disabled all garbage features of Windows (ie. notifications, Cortana).
- disabled all unnecessary features in Advanced System Settings.
- removed bloatware, no mice/kb software running, no discord overlay.
- regularily check core speeds in CPU-Z. Regularily check GPU clock speeds in NVIDIA app.
- core isolation off
- all unused audio devices disabled.

bump yoshi hellooo???? like this is a major bug affecting a lot of people it seems like why is this not being addressed lmfao
