FRAMETIME Heavy stuttering / FPS + reproducing

Heyo,

game always ran smooth as butter for me, since the update the FPS drop from mostly consistent 180 down to 10-20 ish, yet every possible overlay reports around 60-90. (reminded me of the frame gen issue, where overlays showed raw FPS, instead of 2x, 3x or 4x) which would make sense due to 70/4 = 17.5 FPS

Alt + Tab resolves the issue for a few seconds, sometimes even a minute, but the longer the match goes, the shorter it takes until it becomes unplayable again.

Tried everything, e.g.
settings from Ultra to Low - no change
borderless, fullscreen - no change
deleted shadercache - no change
uninstalled - no change

I was able to reproduce it consistently
my last match with Mina:
When I dashed, the game had a microstutter every time.
As soon as I hit someone with LMB > FPS drop to below 10
Using abilities didn't drop the FPS, only LMB (shooting).
Alt + Tab > FPS back to normal again

Also I noticed that when you just tab out and in instantly (basically double pressing alt + tab) the lag either remains, or is back within less than 3 seconds.
The longer you tab out, the longer the "fix" persists.


5070ti, 9800x3d, tested with a 2 month old gpu driver and the most recent one, no change.
Any other game works without any issues.

EDIT:
GPU/CPU usage/temps do not spike at all, both are consistent throughout the entire situation (no matter the FPS)

UPDATE:
Tested in a bot match as well now, no matter the hero:
Game does NOT have any issues, fps drops/lags until I either damage an enemy unit, or when an enemy unit damages me, once it starts, it never stops.

+ Frametime Issue, as you can see in top left, 180 FPS, game plays at 10 FPS at best.

Wow i was just looking at other optimisation issues threads, but you really went into the thick of it, i hope they fix it because i used to have consistent frames 195-240 and it would stay at the higher range most the time only spiking down to 195 during teamfights or with doorman protal placing, but this patch im half my frames even when im down scaling in resolution.
I have a 9070xt and a 9900x cpu if my specs help with any extra info.

Do you have an ultrawide? I have one and maybe that could be affecting performance with the no FOV slider stuff for some reason

Ye, it has definitely nothing to do with our hardware.
Temps/Usage doesn't spike at all & if you unlimit the background frames, it stays consistent during tabbing out as well.

Yup, but the same thing happens on 2560x1440 & 1920x1080.
Defo not a performance issue on our end, there's various threads and solutions online for CS:GO, where the network jitter overflows into the frametime.
Could absolutely imagine that the same issue is present here.

Kinda annoying, since I know for certain that my Internet is at peak performance, no packetloss and great routing.

Update:
Stuttering gone, now it drops to 1-2 frames for a second, and then actually freezes completely.

that's what the console shows every single time when the frames go bad/freeze and MS suddenly go above and beyond once the freeze is over

ive been having the same issue, the performance this patch is really horrible. Despite using a config, i still get lag spikes even if i look at a teamfight

Having the same issue. Game has been completely unplayable for me since The Old Gods update.

If I tab out then hover preview the game everything is fine but, as soon as I tab in the frametime breaks again

I just wanna play these new characters man x.x
