FPS capped to monitor refresh rate shuts off my computer

If I play the game with the frame rate capped to my monitor refresh rate, it will shut my computer off instantly every 20 minutes or so. This does not happen when the fps is limited to 120. I've checked my temperature right before shutdowns and it's been completely normal. This is the only game where this issue occurs.

Have you tried any other relatively performance-heavy games? I have the same issue but it seems to be my hardware, not games themselves

I think mine is game-based, as I can run Monster Hunter Wilds on essentially max settings for hours with no problems. Also, I've found that uncapping (setting it to 1,000) seems to fix the issue, at least so far. From what I've heard if its a hardware issue cleaning the fans and such or investigating the power supply could help.

That's more likely an issue with your hardware such an insufficient powersupply (OCP triggering from current spikes for example).

Tbh there’s a million reasons the monitor could randomly shut off. Have you checked out the obvious things like temperature and drivers?
