I think as opposed to wards, flares should suffice.
An active item that reveals a radius around where the shot lands on the map.
Perhaps used to reveal invisible enemies.
A bonus should be given if an enemy was in the reveal radius.
A larger could be given if the enemy was invisible.
Ex:
1200 Vitality
Stats.
+50 Health.
Active:
Flare Shot:
Fire a flare that reveals enemies in a radius around it on the mini-map.
Flare duration: 5s
Radius: 25m
Cooldown: 50s
If an enemy was in the radius of the flare: +50 Health
If an enemy was revealed from invisibility: +10% Bullet/Spirit Resist
Bonus duration: 15s
