I'm putting this here to try and get some momentum and attention on this. Nothing I've made in the private/closed topics seems to get any acknowledgement or response.
DO NOT FUCKING MATCH EAST COAST PLAYERS ON WEST COAST SERVERS. YOUR NETCODE AND INFRASTRUCTURE CANNOT FUCKING HANDLE IT.
I may as well not be playing in a match with 70-120ms ping and 15-60ms jitter. Reconnecting doesn't fix it and the new networking changes appear to have made it worse.
I thought I'd do a "nice thing" for the players I'd matched with in LA this morning and abandon before 5 minutes so that they can just get a new match. I'm now unable to matchmake for a few hours. So every time you put me in fucking LA during peak East Coast hours you give me a choice between not playing the game all day or throwing a match.
LET ME PUT THAT IN BOLD AND BIG TEXT FOR YOU AGAIN. AN LA SERVER GIVES ME A CHOICE BETWEEN "DON'T PLAY FOR A FEW HOURS" OR "THROW THE MATCH".
My internet is solidly above average. No other game has this issue. Even though West Coast servers in other FPS games are obviously laggier, they are nowhere near this bad.
