Fatal Error Due to Corrupt Files Caused Ban

I attempted to queue into a Match and the game Gave me a fatal error as a result of missing files, something that's been happening repeatedly since the old gods update. since it's happened before i restored my game from the backup i made to try and combat this but when i got back in i was placed into low priority queue and banned for a full day. I don't think i should be punished for the game crashing, and i know several other people suffering with similar issues since the update.

same i get one for a citadel file that says its corrupt, but then it doesn't want to verify the files so I either have to restart the computer or redownload the game itself.

It's happening to me today, before it was just "midtown" mapfile or "pak01.vpk", starting today "hideout" it's getting corrupted. Of course, then it gets stuck verifying at 0% and banned for leaving, lol.

Exact same issue happening to me. I'm at a 5 day ban now for it. I've tried everything I can do on my end to fix it and nothing works.

same as well, crashed yesterday and couldnt rejoin either. ive verified the files but still leads to crashing, might wait to play bc i dont want to get a ban

This problem continues to happen to me, I say about 1/2 the times I boot up this game I get this error and need to reinstall

This is usually caused by overclocked RAM, try lowering your RAM frequency in your motherboard's BIOS. When RAM is overclocked it can become unstable, resulting in file corruption. From what I've seen this nearly always resolves the issue.
