In the mid and late game, a metagame emerges of setting up for and defending against powerful abilities. Dynamo ult, lash ult, pocket ult, vortex web, etc, are played against the many abilities with intangibility, e-shift, counterspell, and so on. This item adds the expensive but tactically exploitable option to fake cast abilities, in the hopes of baiting enemy defensive resources.

I feel like I posted something similar a few months ago.

The critique I got was that it could mess with the readability of the game too much. I still like the idea, but I think a version of it where you target a single enemy to experience the effect would be more viable as an addition to the game. Also probably better as a single ability imbue. So if you were Dynamo, you purchase it, imbue your ultimate, then possibly apply it to an opposing Lash player. Lose the spirit resist as well.

Even then, I think the readability problem exists. Again, overall I think an item to help deal with counterspell would be a good addition. I play a lot of Lash and by midgame half the opposing team has counterspell and things get much, much more difficult. Reminds me of when EShift was a 3200. Idk, I'm just rambling now.

Would be cool if there was a way to cancel and refund an in-progress ability (like Lash slam) too.
