Hello, im playing EU region
It's somewhat regular (but depends on your changes to MMR that are pushed often) that games queue take approx 15-30 minutes, somtimes up to 50-70minutes with extreme cases up to 130 minutes (130 minutes recorded 9/20/2024 on EU server - but I was at very very peak of my MMR). Its regular to see only one lobby in high MMR in early EU hours. So you can get into the game only once per 30-40minutes (i.e. once when game finishes)
Here is list of quick and easy changes that could improved quality of life significantly
1. Remove this restriction. I cant think of a reason why it exists. This would let me play dl_streets while in queue and possibly challenge a friend for 1vs1 or sth like this. On community discords this questions appears daily how to skip this restriction and chose team via console. Its just not possible...
2. Loosen idle check - currently it runs... every 5 minutes? So in 1hour queue I need to actively focus Deadlock window 12 times. I can't lay back and watch Netflix. If you miss it by accident (as you dont use Windows API to send "active notification" to action bar) and possibly miss the only lobby that is running its another +30 minutes into waiting.
3. [optional] This is the possibly the hardest one but let us play private_lobby_create while in queue.
Honestly implementing just 1. would serve most of the cases, I believe.
