Thanks for update.

Loading into 'Explore NYC' either hard crashes game, or stuck on a black screen.

Pressing escape shows the new map, and changing heroes spawns you invisible and you can't move - or locks you into a "Joining the battle as" loading screen.

First time it loaded me to the game, 2nd time i got stuck so i think it's a bit messy rn.

Yeah, pressing escape I seem flames but that's it.

Yeah, the screen goes black. Then you press escape, then you unstuck. That's the fix.

I've had the same issue, workaround seems to be starting a solo custom match for now.

Doesn't work here, i get put into the floor in the spawn when i do this, can't get out of it

I suppose there is various levels of broken for people.

its fixed for me now, i hit explore map before the shaders preloaded and verified integrity of game files
