Entering a party with another player crashes the client + Steam

I was able to launch the game and got to check out Graves in the Hideout, but as soon as I joined someone else's Hideout, I saw two Graves', and then the game crashed (along with Steam itself). Now if I try starting the game again, it crashes exactly the same way but on startup. It doesn't seem like a common issue, and I am on Linux.

More findings: it's related to the party system. My buddy noticed that even after I crashed, I remained in his party. Once he disbanded, I was able to launch the game again. Crashed again once I tried adding him again.
