Elementalist caster thats cycles between elements.

The character would be able to cycle between elements visually, and would have a gun that on base is weak, but gets empowered depending on the current element.

This character kind of has a lot going on, as there is 3 variations of their abilities and they are very much a status heavy character, I considered adding a way to counter cleanses but they need to be counterable.


Ability 1 : Magic bolt
Shoot a medium projectile speed bolt that travels in a straight line and explodes on contact in a 5m radius for 60 (spirit scaling) damage, and is empowered depending on the current element.
26s cooldown. Charged ability.

Fire : +15% final damage and inflict 1 Charred stack
Ice : -20% movement speed for 2.5s and inflict 1 Frostbite stack
Thunder : +60% projectile speed and inflict 1 Spark stack

(1AP) : +1 charge
(2AP) : +40 damage
(5AP) : -10s cooldown and +1 charge



Ability 2 : Elemental zone
Select a 12m area and enchant it into an elemental zone over 1.5s, and lasting 7s, which deals 30 (spirit scaling) damage every second to enemies inside and provides other effects depending on the elemental cycle it was cast during.
36s cooldown

Fire : Apply 70% charred buildup every second to enemies inside.
Ice : +4m radius and apply 40% Frostbite buildup every second to enemies inside
Thunder : +25% ability cooldown speed for self and allies inside and apply 30% Spark buildup every second to enemies inside.

(1AP) : -8s cooldown
(2AP) : A second Elemental zone with 8m base area will also spawn directly under you on cast.
(5AP) : You and allies standing in the elemental zone will receive the ability to buildup the correlating element slowly with their gun.



Ability 3 : Cycle of elements
(Passive) Every 10s cycle between elements, empowering your gun to build up the related status and abilities to inflict stacks, each of which stack up to 5, and each stack lasts up to 8 seconds.

Fire : weapon and abilities inflict Charred, which reduces spirit resistance by 6% each stack, and deals 10% of the targets health over 3s as burn damage at 5 stacks.

Ice : weapon and abilities inflict Frostbite, which reduces movement speed by 5% each stack, and roots the enemy for 1.25s at 5 stacks.

Thunder : weapon and abilities inflict Spark, which reduces firerate by 7% per stack, and reduces ability damage dealt by 30% for 4s at 5 stacks.

(active) press to extend your current cycle by +10s, hold to instead cycle to the next.
30s cooldown.

(1AP) : +20% spirit resistance for 4s on cycle switch.
(2AP) : Inflicting a stack deals 10 (spirit scaling) damage
(5AP) : -26s cooldown & infinite duration on base cycles, pressing the ability swaps element, and holding it swaps to the other possible element.



Ability 4 : Chromatic blast
Harness all three elements at once for 1.5s, then strike forwards in a 160 degree 16m cone dealing 175 (spirit scaling) damage and inflicting max Fire, Ice, and Thunder stacks, dealing an additional 28 (spirit scaling) damage for every excess stack that would be inflicted.

(1AP) : +6m range
(2AP) : +14 damage for every excess stack.
(5AP) : After casting, gain an unextendible 8s Chromatic cycle that receives all elemental cycle effects.
