Drove, The Brood Queen

Hi! This character is my idea for a Lane-pushing specialist character who summons insects down lanes
to apply pressure, ramping up over time causing her to be a threat you cannot leave to her own devices.
I am by no means a professional artist, and I have no formal software or hardware to create something super elaborate or finalized, but I wanted to try my hand at sharing something.

But I was inspired to try my own hand at creating a character concept.

Height wise, I'd put her just a little bit shorter than Paige

SWARMS | SPAWNS | NUISANCE

Drove was a Scientist known as "Vera Millie" attempting to develop a safe pesticide that would protect crops and ward off insects instead of poisoning/killing them.
During the course of her studies researching Locust Pheromones, she wanted to reverse their attracting effect, creating an "Insect Ward"

After receiving a grant to continue her research, a Pesticide company caught wind of her research and saw it as a threat to their company, deciding to silently dispatch her, they sabotaged her findings, causing the Locusts she gathered for her project to become merged with her in a freak accident.

Still alive, and undaunted. She strives to continue her research, scoffing in the face of her new competitors who wished to see her eliminated for their long term financial gain.

I'm trying to decide if the reason she wants to complete the ritual is either to get herself changed back to a human, or if she's cool with being a locust-person and would rather focus on getting all her future projects to succeed.
I'm driving towards the latter, as I feel it could be more interesting.

Drove's main weapon is a Pesticide sprayer, filled with a modified Locust pheromone, which applies her Passive effect.
(Similar function to Kelvins Gun)
Drove's secondary weapon is an arm mounted blaster which she uses for her abilities.

Abilities

-PASSIVE-
Drove's main weapon and some abilities apply "SWARMED"
A rapidly decaying debuff that quickly decays over time.
On initial application, starts decaying after 4 seconds of no reapplication.
Swarm debuff applies a weak DoT effect that siphons life and restores a percentage of Drove's missing health.

Scales with Spirit Damage.
HP restored is reduced against non-player enemies.

Locusts/lane creeps will prioritize Players over objectives, over lane creeps, over jungle creeps.
If two in the same category have the same HP%, they will target the one with the lower HP%

[1] Pheromone Blaster

-ACTIVE-
After a short cast time, Drove shoots a glob of Pheromone blob in a skill shot that deals Spirit damage.
Enemies hit by Pheromone gain the Swarmed debuff. (Starting from 10% to 33% as ability level grows)
Higher levels of the skill will leave a goo puddle on the floor for 5 seconds that applies a weak SWARMED debuff at 5% per tick.

[2] Attack Order

-ACTIVE-
Drove leashes onto all nearby friendly Minions and Locusts Providing a small stat boost to each.
(Like Ivy's tether, but it doesn't heal, and the buff is weaker to compensate for affecting all Minions in an AoE around Drove)

Causes all leashed Lane Creeps to focus on the target with the highest SWARM debuff.
Drove's locusts summoned by ability 3 are also affected by the stat gain.

[3] Protect Order - [Recommended first buy]

-PASSIVE-
Drove summons a swarm of untargettable Locusts above her head every 20 seconds, capping at 3 Swarms.
Drove's Locusts will automatically target the enemy with the highest Swarm debuff, mimicking a % of Droves Gun Damage.

-ACTIVE- (Toggle on 1.5sCD)
Drove orders all of her personal Locusts to surround her, gaining a small barrier for every Locust currently summoned.
Each Locust summoned adds one partition to the barrier, if a barrier partition is broken, the locusts that applied that barrier die, and must respawn over time.
Locusts can still fire while in protect order.

When toggled off, Locusts that recieved damage must regen health over time.
Spawn rate/Gun Damage % affected by skill level.
Summoned locusts do not apply on-hit effects such as Swarm or Anything from bought items, but gain benefits/debuffs such as firing speed, projectile velocity, and gun damage.

[4] Clutch

-ACTIVE- [LMB]
After a 6 second cast time, Drove drives her Thorax into the ground, laying a very fragile clutch below it.
Serving as a spawn point/recall/weak minion spawner.
Interruptible with any form of damage.

Laying a clutch does not begin the Cooldown immediately.

-ACTIVE- [MMB]
On activation and after a 6 second cast time, Drove splashes a puddle of digestive goo onto the ground, jumping in and dissolving herself "Killing" her, and respawning her at her clutch immediately, destroying the clutch in the process and beginning the cooldown of Clutch.
(Interruptible with Damage)

-PASSIVE-
With the Clutch placed.
Over time, the egg spawns extremely weak Locusts that will travel to the closest lane and attach to a friendly lane creep, swarming it and providing a small defensive barrier, prioritizing the larger creeps before the smaller ones.

Clutch details

If Drove is killed by normal means, she will spawn at her clutch, destroying it, and triggering the full cooldown timer.
(How much HP% she respawns with is not something I'd be confident in balancing myself.)

If the Clutch is not in a favorable location, Drove can lay a new batch for a fraction of the cooldown timer.
Enemies, if observant enough, can find the clutch, and destroy it, starting the Cooldown.
The sounds of insects buzzing will get louder the closer to a clutch they are.

(Pay attention to enemy minions to see if they are being protected by a swarm, that way you know if a clutch is close by)

Drove cannot place or manually spawn at a Clutch that has been attacked in the last 6 seconds.
Firing her primary weapon at the clutch will recover its health.

If it is destroyed by enemy combatants, no cooldown will be refunded.
If there is no lane presence, Locust creeps will not spawn. (If enemy is pushed in further than the egg placement)

If placed in an area where lane creeps cannot access, locusts will not spawn.
(Like the underground shop, or on rooftops)

Cooldown timer of Clutch is determined by the Respawn timer.
Death/Clutch destroyed by enemy - 100% of Player Respawn time.
Skill activation - 33% of Player Respawn time.
Replaced by Drove - 8% of Player Respawn time.

INSECTOPHOBIA OPTION

All bugs are replaced by floating Valentine's hearts
Buzzing noises are replaced by Harp noises.
Drove's insect wings replaced by cherub wings.
Insect eggs are replaced by a heartshaped box of chocolates.

Closing Thoughts
I understand I'm not the best at art, and I was worried that Drove's ult being more passive in general wouldn't be strong enough to let her help much in team fights, but I was reassured by a friend that a placeable spawn point nearby was more than enough to help her and her team out by being able to apply pressure after dying.

Optional passive I THOUGHT about was her pesticide tank bursting and causing nearby enemies to have SWARMED applied on death.
Or even being able to latch onto walls.

Otherwise, I'm hoping with her kit, Drove would be able to either split push or solo push lanes if not dispatched overtime, as multiple Lane creeps with the locust debuff would be more difficult for Objectives to destroy, and would stack over time if left alone.

Dueling-wise, I'm hoping with the missing HP% restoration over time, it allows her to hold her own in a sustained 1v1 if someone arrives in lane to push her back.

And hopefully with the way that the SWARMED debuff only cause her summoned locusts and Attack Order'd Lane Creeps to passively target one enemy at a time, it would make her struggle with getting ganked by anything more than one person.

I want her to be a high stam low HP character who is somewhat slippery, but can be easily collapsed on, even with her defensive.
