First off I really think there needs to be a spider based character in this game. The Map, the setting , the movement etc all really make it perfect for a spider based hero.
I also think a few of the hero lab based concept like the trapperthe spider wires should return, so thats the reason why I came up with "dowson", to creat something new out of existing mechanics.
Dowson is a human crossed with a spider. His name comes from his mother as when he was created he mostly was called Widows Son ( as his mom is a black widow ) which later was abbreviated to only "dowson" which become his name.
Dowson has a somewhat humanoid body but with spider legs coming out of his back. The unique part about Dowson is, that he can also crawl like a spider. This means he can crawl along walls and also can crawl to the ceiling within buildings. His playstyle should be fitting to his spider persona. So he is a lurker who lures people into traps/situations to kill them. He also should have this horror athestics. People should be afraid or feel jump scared when attacked by him.
Weapon: Dowson shoots with spider web bullets ( a bit like spiderman ) out of his both hands ( they have bad bullet velocity so they are best used in close combat )
Ability 1: Escape is pointless : Dawson can shoot a rope of Spider web out of his hand. This is a skill shot . If the shot connects to an enemy Dawson travels towards the enemy and spins him into a spider cocon , which immobilizes them for a short amount of time and is dealing spirit damage, once cocon is broken. If he hits a hero from his team he just travels towards him with no other affect. If he hits a solid object like a wall or ceiling he travels towards it and has the option to time his 2 "crawl" right to instantly crawl along the wall/ ceiling
Ability 2: Crawl: Dowson can get on his legs and spider lags to crawl along walls or ceilings. This can be used to plan an ambush. Recasting the ability can be made to jump off the wall/ceiling. The jump off then is followed by an biting attack applying poison on an enemy. At level 2 the ability makes him invisible once he is "standing" still while being in the "crawl" state.
Ability 3 : Spider Wires (charged ability) : Dawson can place spider wires that slow and depleed stamina. They also deal a small amount of spirit damage
Ability 4: Spider Bomb : Dawson throws a big spider web based cocon on 1 enemy . If he hits ( needs to be a direct hit ) an enemy a huge amount of small spiders will crawl and wander across the enemys body ( this really should look a bit unsettling ) and constanlty bite him. They have to be shaken off with all amount of movement abilities ( sliding, jumping , melees , dash jumping , abilities with movement ). They deal good amount of spirit damage over time and apply massive healing reduction on the target. If the target dies with spiders still being alive the lasting amount of spiders will travel towards the next opponent target.
