Doormans Ultimate needs adjustments

With so many items having short durations for debuffs by the time they are in the Baroness they run out upon entry.
I propose that during the ultimate animation when he's checking guests in that he can cast items that are under a certain cast time (for example Refresher/Magic Carpet etc not allowed)

I toyed with the idea that debuffs times are refreshed upon entry but that sounded too broken, for example if it applied to just Slows, Stuns, Silences etc maybe but if it applied refreshes to all inc Spirit Burn, Decay, Toxic Bullets and Ally Debuffs then absolutely not. So I kind of scrapped that idea.

Why I have an issue with how it currently works:

I Silence or Slowing Hex the enemy so they can't cast their way through? Oh, debuff ran out 2 seconds into the Baroness or better yet they Dispel Magicked the debuffs.

They don't have mobility spells and I tracked their stamina usage so I can guarantee a failed check out? Oh, Restorative Locket.
This is the most skilful one and is solved by a 1600 item.

This is not also adding the fact the damage can be negated entirely by some: Ethereal Shift/Calico and Yamato Ult (fair enough I guess for these ones), Ivy Stoneform, Mina Retreat, Pocket Briefcase, Apollo Riposte, Viscous Cube, Dynamo Entanglement and Mirage Tornado.

And now with the addition of Indomitable blocking the ult from even going off... it's too much.

So now I cast the ult it either fails completely, damage avoided from all the invulnerability that is allowed, stamina restoration or they run their way through so fast because the debuffs ran out fast.

I don't know if my suggestion is necessarily the answer (I think it might not even be enough) but I do think that now we're at a point where this needs to be looked at because it feels bad to use outside of interrupting enemy ultimates. I have nearly 500 games on Doorman and I personally don't want to be reactionary all the time.

Agreed. I've altogether stopped putting upgrade points into his ult past T1 until late game because it feels somewhat useless when you see enemies not even interact with the obstacle course because they have a counterspell baked into their kit. Indomitable is annoying, but I think I have a solution. See who has indomitable, cart them, and then use the ult. It's not perfect, since they will still have a barrier from the Indomitable that the cart proc'd, but us Doormen got to stick together and adapt. #Doorman

It's not that Indomitable is an issue, I think it's a good addition to the game.

The item just made me realise when is Doorman's Ult ever meant to succeed proactively? Cause as far as I'm concerned you can just be a certain hero or buy Restorative Locket and/or Dispel Magic/Counterspell and bam you all g.

If everyone and their mums going to have invulnerability or mobility it's just going to get worse with time.

I don't like it.
