Doorman annoying door placement

Here's one of the really bad door positions where you need pixel perfect door placement:

I think it would help if the door placement would lock on to the closest available position when you click on invalid position and there is available position really close.
I'm strongly of the opinion that the map needs to be redesigned to fit Doormans ability better. Many objects and surfaces add random clutter that prevents doorman from being able to consistently place doors or identify where they can even place a door. Either that which would be a bit tiresome to do, or a slight rework to Doormans door to actually only be fittable to doorways instead of any flat surface. Will require a smaller restructure of the map to normalize some door or hallways, and a small redesign of his ability to have alternate door designs based on the doorway.

That said I would rather a map redesign to flatten surfaces out, widen some surfaces very slightly or raise/lower height of some ceilings to make it more clear that doors cannot be placed there.

It's technically not a bug - but the number of times I've had doormans door to appear blue and placeable but I move my cursor or move around slightly and It's almost impossible to get it back to placeable sometimes is really frustrating currently especially when attempting to place doors in the middle of fights.
