If you apply a T2 Djinn's Mark to someone, and then upgrade it to T3 while that mark is still active, you are not only incapable of getting the 12x mark, but the mark will also not auto-detonate the moment that it reaches 8x. Typically T2 marks immediately detonate when they reach their max multiplier, but with this bug, that doesn't happen. In fact, shooting the player again resets the timer on the 8x mark without increasing the multiplier, which is objectively bad for the mirage player. The workaround is to just wait for it to expire and auto-detonate, or to detonate it manually.
It seems to me like either the mark should be upgraded to tier 3 and be able to reach the 12x mult, or it shouldn't but it still auto-detonates at 8x.
This bug is very reproducible and has been in the game for as long as Mirage has been out, and I'm kind of surprised there's no previous thread on it. Maybe it's intended and I just didn't realize it.
