Debuff Resist does not appear to interact correctly with Fire Rate Slow

Apologies if this is a feature and not a bug. It could also just be that the sidebar UI does not show fire rate correctly.

Testing Scenario: Fire Rate Items + Blood Tribute + Debuff Remover vs. Juggernaut + Suppressor + Torment Pulse.

While getting hit by juggernaut + suppressor, my fire rate with just Blood Tribute is the exact same as it is when I have Debuff Remover as well. It appears as though buying debuff reducer is not counteracting the fire rate slow at all.

I know there is debuff reduction scaling to consider, as well as whatever interaction happens when you reduce a fire rate slow that was already over the 50% fire rate slow cap, BUT the fact that the number stays the EXACT same when I buy debuff remover makes me highly suspicious that debuff reduction might not be getting applied to fire rate slow at all.

I am relying on what the UI says which itself could be the source of the bug.

Or, someone can do the math and show me that this is in fact the correct outcome when considering debuff reduction scaling and the fact that the slow combo I am using is something like 10-15% over the fire rate slow cap.

Anecdotally though, it has always felt to me like Blood Tribute does not properly counteract fire rate slow.

As implied by the description of the item Debuff Reducer

"Reduces the duration of all negative effects applied to you."

It won't affect the effectiveness of the debuff, just the duration.

So for example, Infernus afterburn will still have the same DPS, but the duration will be lower.

Similarly, all those fire rate debuffs will slow you just as much, but the duration of their effects will be much shorter.

Well said and thanks for clarifying.

Although it makes perfect sense given that item's description, it's unfortunate that the point is only clarified on debuff reducer and is not mentioned on any of the other items that provide debuff resist.

A more accurate term for it then would be "duration reduction" honestly but I of course that would confuse people to thinking it applies to their own abilities and "enemy ability duration reduction" is too much to say.
