Crashing today on VALVE screen

My game is crashing today after a few seconds on VALVE screen, even though I played very recently just fine and honestly I don't know what else to say.

No errors, no mini-dump files

Tried validating game files, disabling startup commands, makes no difference.

I don't think anything in particular about my PC changed, same drivers, same everything.

Just restarting Steam helped.

But why would the game crash over this?

im having the exact same issue. Never had this happen before.. been playing for many months now.
