I was trying to play a normal Deadlock match, so I pressed start with my selected heroes. The queue was taking a bit, so I looked through the news. After 2 minutes, the game found a match while I was in the news, so I spammed escape to get out of the news. Instead, I was stuck looking at a screen with Haze ive never seen before in the background of the news. After 30 seconds, instead of appearing in a match, I was given a screen of the previous game I played, where it says the MVP and where you can commend players. I pressed leave and went into the pause menu, and it claimed I was still in a match as if I had left an active match. Every time I pressed rejoin, it would send me back to the same ending screen. A fake match that didn't let me join nor leave without penalty, essentially. I had no choice but to leave since nothing else could be done. Since I only recently started playing, I didn't know how harsh the deserter penalty is, and now the day I set aside for Deadlock is ruined.
