I had an issue where my computer had two wifi adapters connected, causing the game to have extreme desync issues. I disconnected one of the wifi adapters which kicked me from the game, however the option to rejoin the game did not appear on the main menu, so I abandoned the game. Most likely a very rare occurrence, but seems the game does not like handling two separate wifi adapters.
