Lore: After returning from a war overseas, Conroy was severely depressed, unable to find meaning or purpose again. Until Stubby showed up one day at his doorstep. Stubby is a young stray golden retriever, abandoned in the streets, and he was absolutely adorable and loving. Conroy's motivation and outlook was refreshed after adopting Stubby. Until one day, Stubby was injured in a storm, but miraculously survived, losing a leg in the process. Conroy could have live out the rest of his days with Stubby, the dog remained innocent and happy, hardly traumatized by the event. But Stubby saved Conroy from despair, so Conroy is going to do anything to restore Stubby's body, even if it means killing an elder god.
