Got comms banned after telling ppl (allchat) to rep enemy haze if he has > 40% headshot rate after game ends as it was pretty obvious he was aimbotting. He even admitted it saying "no its only set to 38%".

I've got almost 200 hrs in the game and i'd love to contribute more with bug reports etc but for now i'm too scared to play the game as playing without voice/text makes zero sense to me and being banned for saying the obvious just doesnt make sense to me.

This post is directed to the developers incase theres any chance of a manual unban if u see it fit.

The comm bans are a joke and being 100% abused. I honestly expected better from a valve game. They've got DOTA and CS to understand this situation. Yet they allow an automated ban system that can be abused by anyone in a 3 stack. I have already started playing less. It's just not fun to haave this looming over you every game. Wondering if you're going to trigger some loser and his friends for a single callout or question.

I don't doubt the report system is being abused; it is in every game. But a couple of questions.
  • Can you share the match ID?
  • How do you know it was that specific match that got you banned? Could it be a report from an earlier match or a culmination of reports over several games?

It doesn't even have to be a three stack is the best part. This can happen in ranked. This can happen from the enemy team. Interesting I get comm banned after this game right?

By the way, you and I ran into each other in the lobby, I clearly remember your avatar and nickname, did you also get a chat block?
I got comms banned and cant play ranked for a few days. I know it was from the opposite team because we had a really good vibe going on in our team with no one complaining.

I had a 3-day mute 4 days ago, I sat 3 days without rating, yesterday I played 2 games, we didn't argue either, everything was fine, but after the 2nd game I got a 7-day ban, I just don't want to play the game anymore because of this. So I sat 3 days without playing, to get a 7-day ban for 2 games, I'm sure that if I start playing in 7 days, I'll get a ban again for reports from enemies.

Yes unfortunately. I can't play Ranked until Nov 1st.
I'm up until November 3, I hope the developers will pay attention to this, otherwise there will be no players left in their game, or people will make smurfs, which spoils the gameplay for beginners, I personally know 5-6 people who created new accounts because of this and play with KDA 50 0 10 in games where beginners played only 1-2 hours, this is very unfair, they would not do this if the system honestly tracked these reports.

By this logic, we can, as a team of 6 people, report each enemy for Voice\Text Abuse and they will 100% be blocked, or if in the next game the enemies send reports again, they will definitely be blocked, although they did nothing wrong.

I'm about to do the same thing. Why miss out on a major part of a team game because the report system has been shit the past month? People discovered you can abuse reports to get people banned in the past two weeks and 'suddenly' I get my first ever chat ban after playing since May? Convenient.

This won't be solved until Eternus streamers get banned so there's a ruckus about it. People will find out soon and there will be bans everywhere.

Deadlock online is already falling every day, so now even regular players can be kicked out of the game simply by abusing complaints, this is complete nonsense.

It’s frustrating when people look at charts and immediately think, 'The game is dying!'—that’s far from true.

If you compare it to other games, you’ll see similar patterns, even with well-established titles. Games still in alpha, like Deadlock, show the same trend. Deadlock isn’t fully open yet; it’s not accessible to the general public in the typical way. So, the chart you posted mostly reflects an initial surge of player interest, followed by the usual decline after the initial hype fades.

Right now, the game is maintaining a healthy and stable player average for its development stage. Sure, things could change if issues like false reports or cheating become too widespread, but they’ll likely address these over time. Yes, it’s frustrating, but until monetization is implemented and organizational revenue is impacted, this is essentially just a project. As a person who has worked in development organizations for years, that means this is likely a C-list priority among a list full of A’s as they focus on building a future revenue source. Is it annoying, sure, but we also sign up for it as play testers. Is it acceptable, that’s debatable, but we are where we are.

Back on topic, I’d love to see the match ID for this thread.

My last match id after which i was banned is 25641949

Idk what ure hoping to achieve looking at the match. The point stands that many people besides me are getting reported and banned for trivial or reasons unconnected to the report.

I fully agree. Given the number of reports, there is likely abuse going on. You’re not wrong. It’s not helped by the people coming in and playing the victim when they really were at fault, as it only drowns out the voices of legitimate victims.

They ask for a match ID in the pinned post in the forums. It helps (If and when they can get to it).

I’m more or less curious about seeing this aimbotting haze as I don’t run across many in my games, but others do, apparently. And it’s interesting to see what the enemy teams were privately chatting about during the match since you can see that in replays also.

Funnily enough I've observed that at high MMR you barely come across cheaters. Like it's a handful out of 500 games. But if I go queue with a friend who is mid MMR it's actually blatantly at least one cheater in every second game. Like they're really bad at hiding it.

I watched the entire match from her perspective, and I wouldn’t call her a cheater.

She started by switching to a solo lane, which threw off the lane MMR. When you match into a game, it assigns lanes based on hero MMR, so she ended up facing someone likely far less experienced than she was and got fed by Lash. He made several poor plays, like trying to dive on her with almost no health left, letting his minions burn out, and not securing/denying souls.

Once he fell behind, it seemed like he got tilted and kept rushing her. By that point, she was 3k to his 1.5k in souls.

Two critical things happened from there: Lash switched lanes, hurting your team’s soul distribution, and nobody went to cover his lane. This left her with 100% of unchallenged souls from her lane, while the rest of you were dividing 30% among each other in another lane. It snowballed from there. She hit every camp, cleared empty lanes, and picked off players as she rotated.

She hit more body shots than headshots, and her aim didn’t have the distinct ‘snap’ you’d expect with cheats. She also missed quite a few shots. But I get it—any hero as fed as she was will shred under-leveled heroes. Nobody used knockdown on her (she didn’t have Unstoppable), and when you used Metal Skin, she waited for it to wear off during the sleep effect after you were hit with her dagger.

At that point, you chatted that she was cheating, explaining why you believed that. I think her responses were just her poking fun and trying to tilt you further.

Nonetheless, I don’t see anything you said as toxic or ban-worthy. You just chatted a lot at the end after you died, and they probably reported you for that. I’m not saying it’s right, but that’s my unbiased take on the match. At the end of the day, it’s a really good example of how the report system is failing us. Tough break dude.

While i appreciate your analysis it seems you missed the most important point. After game summary shows her headshot ratio at around 40% which is the level you see -some- pro players sit at. She isnt a pro player and therefore its an obvious outlier indicating aimbot. This coupled with the fact that she herself says she has 38% aimbot points to the fact that she did indeed have aimbot.

Also, the other problem i see is if you also agree there was no toxicity then the point stands that people are getting banned just because. For no reason. Especially not for the reason theyre being reported.
