I like to think of it as matching energy. Is disrespecting the disrespectful good? Probably not, but something, something, taste of your own medicine, etc.

Sure, I’ll agree that I think we’re talking past each other at this point. My intent was to make a comparison about the importance of context in determining the consequences of our actions, not to make light of actual violence. I get that you think the analogy was intense for this setting, and I respect that viewpoint... I'll keep that in mind in the future.

Let's agree that, regardless of the specific game or chat environment, keeping things respectful generally makes for a better experience for everyone. Ultimately, a little empathy goes a long way. We’re all here to have a good time. So maybe learn from this and try to be a better version of yourself.

I had already taken 2 days of punishment, when the punishment ended automatically after 1/2 day I got another one, without saying almost anything????

Same thing, im not an angel but this system looks broken.
 
It is literally mandatory to say 'GG EZ', especially when it is a difficult and close nail-biter of a game. I would be pissed if the game came down to the wire and I lost and the other team didn't say 'GG EZ'. It is unspoken code, tradition--carried on from grueling, 1 hour Dota games where both sides are tilted.

Their report system/ban system is awful. Banning for GG EZ or EZ is crazy.

I think that's a DOTA thing, though. GG EZ is just designed to make the other people tilted. The ONLY time I've seen it used humorously was when a Seven with 0 kills, 12 deaths, and 2 assists used it after they were hard carried to a win. Obviously they had no idea how to play so it wasn't annoying. But otherwise saying "gg ez" is not sportsmanlike and is just trying to make the other team angry.

The more you romantize it the less I like it. Somehow you have come to the unhinged conclusion that is mandatory to be Eric Cartman when you win and Butters when you lose. Why are these report abuse threads always circulating around the EZ thing? If there is an actual serious problem with report abuse by parties, you are tainting it.
 
Last night Valve deleted about 5 threads then people were baned for 3 days. Some of them do not even use chat and mic. They deleted my thread too. You are not safe even if you will premute team and will not speak to them. Some people saying that it's auto and you get 2nd ban on 7 days after 2 days of playing no matter what you do, i got unban today, but won't go into the game, idn how to play game with out comms. Will beter wait untill half of Deadlock players will be banned and Valve finaly will do something.

Hello SCN, how are you, I'm sorry your thread get deleted, but it's probably the best course since it's already serve it's purpose, you report the problem, they did see and read it, and the rest of the post in your thread became a cess pool of toxic acid where people having meltdown and insulting others who disagree with their believe, funny enough thats coming from a person who think he's innocent and don't deserve the comms ban.

Not gonna defend valve, but the report button is surely can be abused, but yoshi state himself that the threshold for you to get automatic ban is pretty high, most ban probably not coming from 1 game report but from the span of 20 games stacking report.

Just play the game man, it's fine, even I who considerably chatty ingame and sometimes poke my enemies in text chat still not getting ban, I think if you are nicer than me, you should be fine.

And how I suppose to play team game with no interaction with my team? Because I never did voice abuse. Only calls. I guess I’ll wait party rmm and then just go with my folk full party. While I was writing that one of my boys got banned for 3 days too. I believe to do not play until party rmm is right decision.

I got a fair ban (was genuinely raging at my team), then an unfair ban (didn't use comms), since that latter ban I've been using comms just fine for 10+ days without ban. Just talk normally and apologise if you rage.

Yeah, you're right, I also waiting for ranked party match to come out, it feel bland playing in standard match with friend.

Saying ggez is bannable no way. Its becoming riot then. If its ez I will say ez. Should I lie and say its hard. GG for team and ez for enemy.
Who says ggez is being toxic they are child or gen-z and never played csgo.

No, it's not gg ez, ive done it multiple time yesterday just to test it, like many other people usually do.

He assume he got ban because he said that, but sadly it's not the cause, it's because he got reported multiple time and hit the threshold getting him automatic ban.

I realize you're being obtuse, but the "ez" part is the inflammatory, unnecessary comment. Commenting on how "easy" the gameplay was for you only serves to put the other team down. You don't see NFL players saying "easy" during the post-game hand shakes. Just say "gg" or use the radial wheel.
 
i got 4 days 2 times becuase i say gg ez. I feel sad for people that feels the urge to report for that. What type of fragile humans are really out there?? What can we even say?

Please devs make a "forbidden word list & phrases" so that we know what is not allowed to say becuase nomal human conversations are obviously not possible.

I will say whatever I want. If it's not slang or anything racist, they shouldn't do anything. Thats how realistically thinks works. It's not workplace its game.

Same with me although i was unfairly banned after. First one i don't remember, second one was deserved (although it wasn't anything heavy, slang version of "coward" that starts with the word P) and third one was completely undeserved because i've played 2 games after unban and was extremely careful to not say anything negative in the slightest, only call outs and GJ to teammates after they get a kill, now i am banned for 7 days.

I wish they specifically stated what i said in the message box to tell me what triggered the ban, because i cannot think of anything.

Just because it’s the same company doesn’t mean it’s the same team. Different game, different development team, different community, different rules, and different tolerances.

The biggest amount of players come to deadlock from valve games like dota or cs go where phrase "gg ez" is not a reason for ban and not considered as a offensive. There is no rulebook saying something about bannable offenses.
