Communication banned after saying "GG. What a team"

I just got a communication ban. I said "GG.. What a team" at the end of the game..

How is it possible that I get a communication ban for no reason? What the hell is wrong with this game? If anyone claims that the ban system is not abused, they are lying.

MATCH ID: 51358532

I played PARADOX

Remove the ban immediately. It's incomprehensible that this is the second time a ban for communication has been issued for no reason..... What on earth is wrong with people? Why do some people Report for no reason? What is wrong with these idiots that they have to intentionally abuse the report system?

Don't worry, the system can't be abused too much because there is also a ban on reporting if someone abuses the Report feature. You probably had many reports for voice chat. I got banned from reporting for a week after I abused the feature and reported everyone who annoyed me not realising it was my fault for falling in the trap of ragebaiting. Now I just mute if someone abuses voice chat, much more healthy.

Were you being abusive during the game with Voice Chat? Not an accusation just trying to get a full picture if possible.
Was talking just a little in voice chat to my Lane mate. we we're doing good in the lane and nothing toxic comms happened. That's why this is really strange why the communication ban has been imposed. There is no reason for it. We were really having a good time in voice chat with my Lane partner in the early game. In the end of the game I hardly used voice chat at all. This is the second time that my user has been put under a communication ban for no reason. I don't know if it's because of the username because this also happened once with another Steam user of mine who has the same in-game name "assersson". The name comes from hereditary reasons and means Asser's son. It's a real name in northern countries. Something is really seriously wrong with the Communication Report system. Hopefully this report abuse issue will be addressed before the game releases.

And to clarify, Deadlock is the only game where this has happened. I've played other MOBA games as well.

Same thing happens in dota 2. If you type or talk at all and your team ends up losing or disliking you for any reason they report you and they know it's cumulative no matter what you said so eventually you'll get punished even if you arent toxic enough to warrant a ban. So basically if youre going to do anything that people will get annoyed with even if you arent griefing you better not use chat at all or they'll report you

Well, this clarifies a lot. So apparently people like you who can't listen to normal communication are abusing the reporting function in this game?

I was a PHANTOM from my previous level until I started playing random lobby matches. I like to communicate in order to win games. In a good way, of course. It's somehow incomprehensible that in a MOBA FPS game where communication is very important, you can't communicate without fear of getting an unjustified communication ban. In order to win in high-level games, you can't just solo. You have to understand how you play together between certain Heroes and how you counter attacks, etc.

Maybe today's young people are just too sensitive to communicate and listen to instructions or they generally get angry if someone asks them to do a small thing in the game. (This time I didn't talk to anyone but my Lane partner)

It may be that as someone who completed the army myself, I find strategic communication completely normal, but for others it can be distressing. I don't know. Anyway, my interest in this really promising game is almost nil because of these unwarranted bans. I hope this problem is fixed before the game is releases, if i even have interest to it anymore at that point.

People like me who can't listen to normal communication are abusing the reporting function??? I explained to you how the system works and you are acting ignorant and dismissive towards me.

I never said I abused this feature and I also stated that this feature can't be abused because there is a penalty for abusing it.

You didn't get banned because of one report, you got banned because many players reported you for communication (which means you've been reported many times). From what you are saying I understand that you communicate, but I have a feeling that you constantly communicate which makes it hard for your teammates to hear or focus on the game because of you constantly 'communicating'. Also, by the way you are addressing I can only assume that you are not just communicating, but you are also a bit toxic and/or ragebaiting your teammates.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think there are some incorrect assumptions here, so I want to clarify.

I apologize if I misunderstood your message.

I wasn’t toxic and I didn’t constantly communicate. I only spoke to my lane mate, very minimally, for basic coordination, and we had a good, positive game overall. Nothing that would distract or upset teammates.

I understand that bans come from multiple reports, not just one. That said, the system can still be abused, especially when reports come from players acting out of frustration. It’s entirely possible the enemy team reported after losing the match, despite there being no toxic or excessive communication on my part.

The fact is that you can still submit unfounded communication reports several times before the report feature is disabled.

That’s why this ban feels unjustified to me, and why I’m raising the issue here

Feel free to watch the game demo.

It's alright man, sorry if I insulted you. I got banned too once from using comms for a week so I know it can be frustrating. Just wait it out and try to rely more on the ping system and use voice comms only when realy need it.
