Love the design of this character, and it fits so well:
Hero name: Coal
Theme: coal miner from the 1920’s, movement based character, up close and personal.
Weapon: Pickaxe with integrated gun (can also use as melee)
Hero also carries rope connected from hip or hand to back-end of pick axe
Role: close distance and slow enemies down, need some survive ability close, but not to tanky.
Ability 1: Axe slam - Hero does a small jump and slams pickaxe in the ground and deal a small AOE damage.
Ability 2: Pickings - Throws pickaxe towards hero/minion/tower to pull yourself towards. momentarily unable to to use weapon during.
Max range needs to be 10-15m. (Don’t want hero to feel like lash)
Ability 3: Darkthrow - Throws a pile of coal (like a slower velocity shotgunblast. This expands as in a cone. Dealing more damage close and less the higher the spread is at distance. Alternatively it does almost no damage, but
Ability 4: Wheelspinner - launches the pickaxe from the rope, the hero spinning around, heavily slows all caught in rope, dealing higher damage to heroes hit by pickaxe at the end of rope.
