There is a bug (?) where character selection persists over multiple users.
For example:
User A has selected characters X, Y, and Z.
User A logs off, and User B logs on (into their own unique Steam account) to the same computer. User B sees characters X, Y, and Z already selected, and changes it to A, B, and C instead.
User A logs back on after some time, and sees characters A, B, and C selected.
For example:
User A has selected characters X, Y, and Z.
