Kulo The Wildfire Druid
Grow - Burn - Repeat
Goal: Create a character that revolves around erecting constructs and then destroying them, like Terra from Smite. But make it so they aren’t disappointingly dull like Terra from Smite.
Appearance: Kulo has two forms. In her Growth form she wears something akin to a toga made of leaves. In her Fire form, she takes on the appearance of a pillar of living fire with a person somewhere at the center.
Gun: Kulo’s gun is a staff of wood that looks somewhat like a walking staff.
Ability 3: Toll of Seasons
As Kulo casts basic abilities, she gains stacks on this ability. When casting an ability at 4 stacks the stack counter will reset and Kulo will change into her other form.
Ability 1: Growth Form: Brambleweed Bush
Kulo grows a thorny bush in the target location. It blocks line of sight, and can be moved through, but enemies that do so take damage as long as they are in the bush. The bush does not block bullets. When set alight the bush explodes after a slight delay, sending Kulo and enemies flying away from it and dealing damage to enemies. Depending on how many stacks Kulo has on Toll of Seasons, the bush’s model size and its burning AOE will increase in a linear manner.
Ability 1: Fire Form: Burning Embers
When Kulo casts this ability her next 1 to 4 (depending on how many stacks Toll of Seasons has) shots deal additional burn damage to enemies hit. Constructs created by Kulo will ignite if shot by this ability. This effect can stack, so casting the ability four times in a row will grant 10 burning shots.
Ability 2: Growth Form: Aspen Colony
Kulo creates a tree at the target location. The tree cannot be moved through and block bullets. Trees last for a long time, but can be destroyed with a heavy melee. The number of trees summoned grows with how many stacks Kulo’s Toll of Seasons has. When set alight, trees will burn for several seconds, dealing damage to all enemies within a radius around the tree.
Ability 2: Fire Form: Flaming Pinecone
Kulo lobs a burning pinecone at a target location. The pinecone explodes when it lands, dealing damage to enemies in a radius and setting Kulo’s constructs alight. The pinecone will bounce forward and explode again a number of times, depending on how many stacks her Toll of Seasons has.
Ability 4: Cycle’s Renewal
Kulo instantly shifts forms. All of her non-burning constructs will burst into flame, dealing damage to enemies and knocking them back. All of her burning constructs will be doused, pulling in enemies around the construct.
