Changing ORANGE color of the lane.

I have one suggestion about the map, is it possible to change the color of the Orange line to something more neutral to red, for example green. Because, even considering that I have already played for 50+ hours, sometimes it is still unclear whether it is the red line that is pushed or our normal orange one.

this applies to other games too but just let us customize colors as we want and there will never be issues like this

I think it would cause a problem in a team since you cannot indicate the line by color to your teammates. That is why it would be better to have the same colors for everyone.

They could use an additional designation that is color agnostic, such as numbers (lane 1, 2, 3, 4) or directionals (left, mid-left, mid-right, right).
Most modern games have support for colorblind people, by allowing them to select their own colors. the directions could further cause problems if people get turned around, say returning to spawn, so maybe numbers is the way to go.

I think I'd be a fan of ABCD most since number designations are already used in the game, or maybe shapes like square, triangle, circle, kite/diamond

Yea either of those would be good. I was thinking some sorta image / symbol would prob be better than numbers or letters because of the subconscious prioritization they lend. we need to help lane 1 more than lane 3 b/c it's 1 so the devs think it's more important.

TBH colors are working fine except orange. Remember there are other functions for the colors: 1) the minimap shows you the lanes at a glance, which is the issue here, 2) voicelines tell you which lane you need to defend, 3) you need to be able to tell people on voice and text chat which lane to go to for coordination, 4) you also need to be able to look up in your base and see which zipline to take. Colors are working well as a way to both visually and verbally communicate location, while symbols or letters wouldn't do as well at both. Customizing the colors would only confuse you and your team with conflicting voicelines and team communication.

Short-term solution: lighter color orange and/or darker color red.
Long-term solution: change orange to a more distinct color and re-record the voicelines.

Actual solution: don't use red.
Instead, keep the original color, but apply dark tint and dotted/dashed style of the line, with a big "—" to designate the front-line.

Completely agree, I can't tell the orange from the red and it is really distracting

That is smart and nice and should work for the minimap lines, or even removing red lines entirely from the minimap.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I see where my zipline ends, doesn't it mean that enemy's red zipline just starts two sections ahead?
Or am I missing something?

dlag.jpgside note:
I suggested this idea a few weeks ago, desaturate ziplines and inner structures, having only the next enemy "non-resistant" structure marked in red. I thought current objectives would be easier to recognize at a glance this way.

The first thing I thought when I saw the minimap was that it was hard to read. But to be honest I just got used to the minimap at this point and find it easier to read already.

About the in-game color of the orange zipline, if that is the confusing part, a lighter orange should work right? So Orchard could still be Orange and there would be no need to re-record voicelines.

desaturate ziplines and inner structures [...] it was hard to read
That kills the color contrast. The color must be kept to differentiate zip-lines from the unsaturated background. Just darkening the red would do.

Anyways.

Here's my rendition of the aforementioned approach. With and without markers. (I had to paint manually with brushes, mind the dashes being rounded and other artistic liberties.)

I love this idea but perhaps the enemy line can still be red and dashed? That keeps it more immediately obvious from the corner of your eye at least for those who are able to make the color distinction

At this rate, let's shove this alternative into the settings.
I personally prefer to keep the lane color, because when the lane is captured by the enemy, I always forget which color it was and say "I am going to the red lane", confusing the kek out of my teammates.

this is such a good idea! I hope it gets implemented.
