This might seem like an odd suggestion, but I think it is a good one for several reasons:
- Frenzy requires either a lot of built in healing or a lot of bonus vitality items to make it effective. By making Frenzy a Vitality item itself, it naturally limits it's effectiveness, requiring a player to be willing to sacrifice a vitality slot for it, and as such limiting their survivability.
- Frenzy naturally wants players to have more health/defense, meaning that thematically it fits at least as well into a Vitality slot as it does Weapon.
- Berserk would remain a weapon Item, meaning that players who either can't or don't want to invest more souls into the item can choose to stay on Berserk (as a lower risk option) and still have more/better vitality items
- There are currently 9 Tier 4 weapon items, whereas there are only 7 Tier 4 Vitality items. This would help balance that out and potentially open up more design space for a new Tier 4 weapon item.
