Cannot access Lane Training

My friend just got deadlock but cannot do the lane training as whenever they try to do lane training it gives a popup that says "in order to have better matchmaking, please select at least 2 non new heroes". But they are trying to do lane training with Wraith?

Confirmed seems like Lane Training is broken by the queue restrictions on new heroes being applied to its hero picker.
