Man I've been banned from the deadlock official discord server for about 2 weeks now for the dumbest crap, I understand that what I did (posting a crudely drawn picture of a dude sprayin' poo) may have warranted some punishment, like a mute or something, but a permanent ban is insane and the ONLY THING I HAVE HEARD FROM ANY ADMINISTRATION due to kind strangers reaching out and the comment left on the deletion of my previous post has been "bruh- you posted "literal shit" bruh come on bruh", entirely unprofessional.
can i APPEAL??? can i be let back in with a mute or something like damnit man that is the only thing I have done in that server that can be portrayed as wrong in the slightest, I used it often for updates and community memes.
I am distraught at this point which is why this post has been so sloppy, but at the end of the day I just want to be in the deadlock discord server, I think what I have done is being blown way out of proportion, a silly image.
This is an official VALVE game with a discord server linked directly to it for the closed alpha, and I feel that at the very least a warning could've been warranted before being permanently banned. Can some form of administration PLEASE understand my perspective. Sorry for posting this in the bug reports thread but I simply have no idea what to do atp.

Alright Rico, I did not post a dude shitting! I actually posted a funny silly drawing me and my buddies made in Gartic phone with a nod at deadlocks "Dynamo"
The discord server is clearly a very unserious community, and if you genuinely think that a permanent ban for posting something as silly as that is warranted I would love to hear your reasoning other then "why would you think that was a good idea"

Do I really need to breakdown how that clearly violates basically anyone's social code? If you drew disturbing images and showed them to people on the street you'd be arrested. Sure a picture of someone shitting isn't the worst thing. Again, it breaks the social code to do it here. Stop doubling down and learn something.

I could take the image to the local sheriffs office and they wouldn’t arrest me. Let me restate, I understand that if someone in there really didn’t like it then absolutely i can understand some form of punishment being set in motion like a mute or something equivalent, but to be permanently banned is simply excessive.

Go spend 5 minutes in the deadlock main chat on that server and you’ll see it is damn near the equivalent to a small community discord.

It was silly, and i had deleted the image like 1 minute after sending it but Bergaboo had gone in there and was asking what it was so i sent it again to show him, Ill include the image, no nudity, no graphic material, literally just half of a guy making a funny face with some brown flowing from downtown.

I truly believe he has... I've learned in life that life very rarely unfolds in simple terms of right and wrong... People are shaped by their circumstances, and their mistakes. What is important is the lessons they take from them... I don't believe a person should be defined solely from their worst moments, because growth is apart of being human! All that to say... every person in life deserves the opportunity for a second chance, NOT as an opportunity to erase what was, but to show that what was does NOT determine the future...

I believe that you are sorry but someone reading your post would take away more that you're unhappy with how you were treated, instead of understanding that you have learned something and want to do better.

This is exactly what i was asking for when i made my earlier remark, and you are absolutely right. Although i do believe that drastic measures were taken in retaliation to my actions, it still stands true that it was those very actions that led me to being in this situation in the first place. I am sorry, and i do understand that my actions had the possibility to make someone in the chat feel uncomfortable or disgusted, and although that was not my goal it still is a very possible reality that i did not account for. I haphazardly mentioned “i don’t think that punishment itself was unjust” and in saying that I do believe that i was trying to convey what i had just said but simply put in poor terms. I originally started this thread because I was upset with how things were handled and i now understand that it entirely falls on me. In my time apart from the deadlock server I realize that I had basically thrown away something that I did care about and put time and effort into, which led to me being upset and not properly conveying my feelings until now. I now fully understand that my actions had the ability to negatively impact someone else’s experience and for that I am truly sorry, and I respect the decision made by those in power to protect the wellbeing of other people in the community. Just today, when the servers queue time was being funky it upset me that i couldn’t check in on the server and see what other people had to say. I am eager for the outcome of this thread, whatever that may be, because I enjoyed being a proactive member in the deadlock community and wish for an opportunity to continue that in the future.

Dude. I was in the server when you sent that and youre totally downplaying it... it was badddd- ((gross description warning)) -- but the "picture of a dude sprayin poo" was a picture of a distended a**hole releasing poop like icecream. I was chatting with friends trying to find someone to stack with and then i just got off for the night. I'm glad you got banned because that was gross. I honestly think if you get unbanned that you will just send that again or something worse eventually.
