Can no longer see if anyone on friends list is in a match or not. They're always displayed as "Main Menu"

I'm not sure if others are experiencing it or not, but previously I was able to see if people on my friends list were playing a game, which hero they were and how many souls they currently had. As of roughly a week ago it now only displays them as being in the Main Menu even if they're actually in a game or finding a match. In the image you can see that if you right click them you're able to still spectate the game for example.

same, and clicking "friends only" in the watch tab does nothing since it started happening to me

Same, in the chat window in steam I can see they are in game for x min but in game it shows main menu
