Calico ward duration

120 seconds seems like an INSANE duration w/ the recent mcginnis duration nerfs and how much damage she can do with them. Is this intentional?

this is not a bug, its a cooldown/lifespan and your message comes across as slightly salty like "ITS NO FAIR! the wheels got taken off of my toy so take theirs too" a bug would be something not spelled out in plain text as its intended value

You're right! Its likely not a "bug", tho I have a few points for you:

One, the specific hero feedback sections are currently private. Not sure if I can even post in them, considering theyre all empty. This seems like they only section for any feedback on Hero Lab characters.

Two, just because something isnt a bug doesnt make it intentional. Fat fingers happen, decimals get shifted, things get put in wrong. Checking isnt "whining" cause someone "broke my toy". McGinnis wasnt nerfed into obscurrity, shes still SUPER strong. Which brings me to my

Third point, concern over BALANCE in this game is ALSO not whining. This is a super volitale game with changes constantly. Participating in voicing my opinion is all im doing. Calico is currently a MENACE in Hero Labs BECAUSE of her turrets.

McGinnis Turrets get 20% of her HP (roughly 100 at first level, maybe 500 if McGinnis can get to around 3k HP0, last 24 seconds, a 25m attack range (up to 35 at T2), and start at 60 DPS, up to 105 at T3 with a .4 spirit scaling. With my prefered build this comes out to around 162 DPS and 440 hp per turret, 32 second lifetime, 47m attack range, and with 3 charges on a 7.54 second cooldown and a second between charges. They also apply a short 35% move slow at T1

Calicos Wards at base have 300 HP , have 40 DPS, last for 2 full minutes, and have an attack range of 40m. In the same EXACT build, which has a handful of pieces not even suited for calico, that shoots up to 705 hp (3x Spirit Scale) , 117 DPS (.4 Spirit Scale), 160 second duration, and a 90m attack range (.2 Spirit Scale). As far as charges go, she still has 4, and build with Rapid Recharge and ImpCD they have a 3.5 second charge delay, and a 12.6 second CD for each charge. On TOP of all that, they have 30% lifesteal and a 20% healing reduction, which goes up to a 50% heal reduction at T3 and includes a 30% damage reduction for your enemy. Oh and they go INVISIBLE. OH OH they ALSO can be placed on walls and ceilings!

So for giving up roughly 25% of the dps, you get turrets with almost double the health and attack range, heal you, turn invisible, reduce enemy damage and healing, and are hit scan. They also last for 470% longer. McGinnis caps out at maybe 8-10 turrets w/ echo shard. I could likely get a few more if I ran Refresher, as it refills all charges. Calico could easily hit double that, if not more. Shed get at least 10 charges back before her first ward expired. The only reason I can see for this is that Calico has to actively deal damage for the turrets to shoot, but considering they heal and she also has a charge based ability that counts as a melee strike, and Lifestrike exists, she can be tanky as hell.

If you can honestly read all this and think Im just whining because someone "Broke my toys", then idk what to say to you. They are the only two turret characters in the game. Of course Im comparing them.

You can post in the private sections and you will only ever see your posts. Valve can ALSO see these posts. The reason Valve does not want you seeing other people's feedback in the private sections is to prevent your actual opinion from being swayed by others. They want you to be completely unfiltered in your thoughts. They would rather you say "THIS NEEDS TO BE NERFED INTO THE GROUND" rather than you seeing other people disagree and you want to mediate the scenario and go "I think this needs a slight nerf".

I was unaware. Trying to post in some of the other private areas seemed to shunt me into other sections. Makes sense tho! Thanks for informing me this post can go elsewhere in a way thats not "Haha whine more loser"
