Box Invader

Tier 2 green item

Player targets a box and hides inside it. 15 meter radius, similar speed to phantom strike, does not leave a trail but maybe makes a short-lasting visual effect near the box that was entered. The box looks identical to all other boxes on the map. Players always get the box souls upon entering the box, plus +120% bonus souls. The box explodes when it is broken or when a player decides to leave it, 70 spirit damage, .5 spirit scaling. 7 meter explosion radius. Players cannot move while inside the box, can leave it by pressing space. +20 health regen while inside the box.
 
Very fun, but it would work better as a character ability like MK's Mischief. Also requiring an intact box would make the item dead on arrival, it'd work better if it just placed a fake box where you're aiming
 
Too much for Tier 2 item. Teleport, disguise, bonus souls, damage and regen. Your item have both offensive and sustaining capabilities.

I think it should have only box entering with slight boost to regen.

If you want item with scales or additional quirks, it should be on higher tier than second.

There's many similar suggestions for items, mechanics of which are based on boxes. I think we can get something like this in the future.
 
I'll reply to both -- if you could place boxes anywhere it would be way too powerful because you'd basically just be giving everyone a memey-looking geist bomb. You also wouldn't really be able to fool anyone with a box just sitting somewhere boxes never spawn

Conversely, it's too weak to be a tier 3 item because of the opportunity cost of sitting in box and waiting to ambush something or regen. It's not that crazy of an offensive tool in a fight because enemies have to be standing next to a box that hasn't already been destroyed by the fight, and it's not that crazy of a defensive tool because enemies can just shoot the box from outside the range -- the explosion size is one meter over paradox bomb but half is buried in the wall.

It's basically just a regen tool, box-themed healing rite, that pays some bonus souls to accommodate for the opportunity cost of sitting in the box. The explosion damage, which is not that crazy, is only there to create the possibility of having a really meme-y ambush on an enemy hitting boxes in their jungle. Which is necessary to the item because otherwise it would not be interesting enough to be in the game.

Not good enough to make it a tier 3 either. 20hp per second is only 5 over heal rite, and while there's no time limit for sitting in the box -- you are literally sitting in a box -- honestly the heal could probably needs to be more.

If it was the best way to use item, maybe I have agreed. But I think players will use it as conditional Warp Stone.

Everyone who knows map decently, also knows where the boxes are located. So if they were escaping from enemy, they can instantly get into the box, instantly get out of it, increasing their chance to survive. On top of that, the radius of teleportation can be increased with items.

Maybe it could require to be out of combat for some time, just like Majestic Leap does. Or something else, that make that cheesy strategy harder to implement.
