Boundless Magazine

the basic mag, Titanic mag, Intensifying mag trinity feel a bit weird:

- IM has really similar stats to Basic Mag, so it's like paying 3,000 souls for the passive ramp-up effect
- a usual path is buying basic mag -> IM -> Titanic mag later
- selling basic mag for IM (usually due to slot reasons) feels bad
- Titanic mag is in a bit of a weird spot, where it's a reasonable 3k but still just usually one of the last 3ks you want to buy

eco-wise, i think it would be a lot better if Titanic Mag was a 1250 and had more mild stepping up (and a mild ramp-up bonus?) and then IM at 3k built off that and just combined everything a bit

if we want to get really silly with it, have a full 500->1250->3000->6200 upgrade path to Boundless Magazine, where you just. have unlimited ammo or something stupid. get silly with it for that price.

I could see an "Infinity Magazine" being a thing. Most gun builds are effectively unlimited bullets by end game anyway so an Item that actually makes your ammo unlimited isn't too far out there.

yeah, pretty much. why spend $1250 on active reload, when you could spend on something that builds to "reloading is not really necessary" type of item

Infinite mag, removes window to hit someone created by need to use another skill to get item proc, melee to get reload or simply reload. So it removes counterplay, its bad. You cant kite or do anything to it ammo not gonna end, as person with infinite mag can also buy unstoppable and remove disarms and all that. So its enhances others and solving their problems while taking away ways to deal with them by the rest.
Also fleetfoot and intensifying mag with that, too good to be in the game, it will be only viable build for guns.

you can already use quicksilver reload with uninterruptible non-counterable abilities to achieve 100% gun uptime. you can already remove that counterplay, and disarms (and curse) are still the effective counterplay to people with functionally bottomless magazines.

What if the item converted your magazine into an overheat or regenerating Magazine. Where if you shoot, it builds up heat, and heat goes down over time or when you reload it resets your heat.
like the energy weapons from the game roboquest.
Or the Guns from Mass Effect 1?

Yeah, this is just the game I'm playing right now and I had it on my mind. plus, I have never played any mass effect games.

Mass effect series is probably one of the best series (up until ME3 anyway) I've ever played. Genuinely phenomenal story telling combined with great gameplay and engaging game systems.

Seriously, I'd be surprised that Bioware managed to screw it up but the people who made ME1-3 all left Bioware after ME3 came out anyway so it's not really the same people anymore.

Anyway, those guns can fire until they "overheat" but also gradually cool off over time when not firing. (in Mass Effect 1 anyway. They changed it in ME2 and ME3)
