On each side of the map, past where the Base Guardians defend, the base is structured with an upper and lower area (with a staircase to travel between the floors in the center). If you manage to get past these guardians without dying, you can make your way up to the second floor balcony. If you stand against the railing, you'll agro the two guardians and they'll start shooting their beam at the player. However, the aforementioned railing will block the beam -- making it so the player won't take damage. Additionally, the player (so far tested with Ivy, and McGinnis) can still shoot at and successfully deal damage to these guardians while standing against the railing.
