Banned for leaving Hero Testing

While queuing, I entered Hero Testing and after a few minutes I tried to leave but was prompted with the Abandon Match option.

I decided to leave and was banned for a few hour.

Was I somehow connected to a game but was instantiated in the Hero Testing ?

Same thing happened to me. I started searching for the game and went into the character test right during the connection. When I was about to leave the testing field to enter lobby, I got a warning that I would be punished, and that's exactly what happened, I received a punishment for quitting the game. I hope they'll fix it.
