Banned despite not being able to join a match

G'day, devs! I was queueing for a match yesterday, the game found one, and then I got sent back to the hideout. The interesting thing is, the "match in progress" message on the top left wasn't there, which means I wasn't able to rejoin, so I tried queueing again. I later found out I got banned for two hours, but strangely enough, I wasn't sent into low priority. My Internet is fine.

While I understand that leaving games can lead to a ban, it isn't able to distinguish between leaving intentionally or otherwise, especially if you have to leave when there's something important to do, such as chores, or when there's an emergency. Considering that a lot of people are getting falsely banned for not being able to join matches, I don't think it's working as intended.

I hope this gets looked on soon. I really love Deadlock and it's my most favourite video game of all time along with TF2. The devs do an awesome job and I'm happy that the game's becoming even better every day! I can't wait for this month's update and play Venator!

I would also like to echo all the sentiments. I have been really enjoying Deadlock and how it scratches multiple gaming itches perfectly.
My time punished fail to connect also happened last night for a 15 minute ban which annoyed me but wasn't that big a deal. Today a 2 hour ban means I don't get a game in before work which is a bummer but also not that big a deal. If it happened when I had planned to game sometime this week, that would have been much more frustrating. I am concerned that it will continue escalating and don't know how to solve it as it seems my internet was good.
Why can't we simply rejoin the match?
