Banned 30 minutes after fail to join pregame lobby - not at fault

Hey support

I have 125 hours so far and not experienced anything like this before. Normally i join the pregame lobby in 1-5 seconds as one of the first loaded in.

Earlier on my 5th or so game, when i qued after picking my heros i was stuck on the load screen for a minute, escape worked but only allowed to leave and options etc and warned me i shouldnt leave or something. I thought crap im going to be behind already. so Alt F4'ed.

On second launch of game i clicked rejoin, and same thing again im stuck on load screen. After another minute of waiting, i think my only option is click the "leave spectate" button, and reque.

I go to re-que and get hit with 30 min ban warning. I just really not looking for a stain on my account already as its turned into main game hah.

I just got back from dinner and checked match history and its not on there.

Game before says at 8:08 uk time so roughly a minute after that game which was 31:56 minutes. Not sure if the match history time is when start or finished

yes i have the same problem when i closed the game and tried reconnecting it says that i am banned till the 12 of december

I’ve been playing Deadlock a lot lately, and while the game is fantastic, I have to point out an issue that not enough people seem to be talking about: the punishment system for connection problems. Despite having a decent internet connection that runs other games perfectly, I’m still facing heavy penalties due to disconnects in Deadlock.

Here’s what happens: if you disconnect or leave because of connection issues, you’re hit with a temporary ban and then forced into a series of low-priority matches. What’s worse is that the number of these low-priority matches scales up based on how many times you’ve disconnected or left the game. For players who experience occasional connection drops, this feels overly punishing, especially when no other games give us similar issues.

It seems unfair to treat unintentional disconnections this severely. I wish more people were talking about this, as it really impacts the enjoyment and fairness of the game. Has anyone else had this issue? Do you think Deadlock should consider a more balanced approach to handling connectivity-related penalties?

Ive not had 1 bit of lag/latency or DC's etc, but just the lobby would not load for me! If it consistently disconnects you not sure what to say. Cant be fun for yourself or your team. Are you wired in or wireless?

Almost happened again on my first game back. Turning graphics down fixed it after alt f4
Not even using 50% my gfx card (specifically screen space io from high to med)

I just had the exact same issue, loading screen was going for several minutes as opposed to the couple seconds usually. Happened twice in a day, first time ended up with a 5 min ban, ("nbd its a wip thats understandable") second time was half an hour ("hold on i dont want to get perma banned for a bug")

Happening tons to me today, i did 2 games now cant get into any. Tried turning loads of settings down. Turning off AMD enhancements etc, nothing can get me past load screen RN

If you still have this issue, i temporarily fixed it by turning graphics down even when only using 30-50% of hardware. that lasted 2-3 games, so maybe unrelated.
But verify files wouldnt progress past 0%, so i did full reinstall as i assume some file was missing or corrupt (and saw something like that in the console on main menu. Now i verify files every time i sit down to play (only takes 1-2 mins), and if you want to be extra safe, do it every update even the 5kb ones lol.

The issue i faced exactly, was stuck on load screen, escape menu works perfect just wont join prelobby EVER, and im normally first in. Also if you wait 2-5 mins it drops the lobby for everyone and you dont seem to get matchmaking timeout ban (well i didnt on 2nd and 3rd before i found fix) but on my first load issue i got 30 min as i clicked "leave spectate" after game reload didnt fix it. So just never click leave spectate and you should be fine.

I havent had the issue since those 2 days on 12th and 13th (3 games)
