I know a lot of people have had a lot of frustration with Mcginnis and I'm betting Calico will be in a similar situation once she is fully released.

140 Spirit damage for a 3k item isn't all that much, but the passives are decent and being able to nuke out conjured turrets or cats at 350 damage to their constructs is potentially really useful.
