Auto Fire (cant stop firing)

Whenever I open a menu (escape or abilities menu) and close it, my character immediately begins to fire their primary weapon and will not stop no matter what I do, they reload, and continue firing. If I open a menu, they pause firing and then resume when the menu closes. The only time this was "fixed" was when I updated my drivers, but later in the day the bug came back.
