Invader- The Invader is a tripod piloting warrior based off the martians from War of the Worlds. As a hero, Invader wants to siege enemy positions, growing stronger over long fights for a walker and chasing enemies off of objectives. Physically, the fighting machine is low to the ground and wide, about the size of Mo. It crawls along on 3 robotic legs until it uses its ult and stretches up high into the air.

Lore- Mars is dying. The many segmented eyes of the Martians turned to nearby Earth with a plan to send out lone scouts to build the foundation of a future invasion. They knew that Earth’s people were primitive, their weaponry simple and inelegant and their resources would be easily snatched but there was something that Earth had over the Martians. This new factor that impeded the Martians plans was completely alien to them and threatened to stop their invasion plans before they began. What on Earth was all this “occult” nonsense?
Gun- Laser pistol- The Invader fires a short burst from its main gun. Accurate at short distances but the bullets spread at farther distances.
Abilities
1- Heat Ray-Heat ray has 2 modes of fire chosen by pressing or holding the ability key. On a single press the Invader will sweep a beam that covers a wide area and does minor damage while applying stacks of fatigue. Fatigue increases the damage that Invader does to targets and slows their stamina regeneration. Holding the ability key focuses the beam into a smaller, more powerful laser. The laser charges up and then fires straight ahead dealing damage. The focused fire does not apply fatigue. The wide lens version can be fired while moving and can sweep across multiple targets. Focus fire stops your movement and will move Invader backwards from recoil.
2-Black Smoke- Invader throws a black smoke canister. The canister begins to spin on landing and spread black smoke. Black smoke’s area starts small and spreads out slowly, It falls to ground level and spreads through doorways. Enemies in black smoke will begin taking damage and have their vision range lowered, like during Drifter’s ult. Gas canisters can be hit with a melee to move them around and clear the smoke. Upgrading gives Invader evasion while in smoke.
3- Spread Moss- Invader drops a red moss pod below them. A moss pod will slowly spread-out red moss over terrain, creeping up walls. While standing in red moss, enemies will have their movement slowed. Invader gains increased regen while in moss. Moss can be removed by destroying the pod. Multiple moss fields can be out at once. Heroes killed on moss will drop moss pods.
4- Mass Hysteria- Invader’s tripod legs stretch into the air and it starts winding up it's siren. Nearby enemies have a short time to escape the radius or they will be hit with a fear effect, forcing them to move away from Invader. While it's legs are stretched out, it moves in long striding steps covering more distance than normal. Enemies directly under the Invader during Mass Hysteria will cower instead of run. Invader can use abilities and fire it's weapon during Mass Hysteria. Height can be adjusted like with flight controls.
