Audio issues when opening the settings

When I open the settings while connected to Sony SRS-XB32 bluetooth speaker as a main audio output, the game goes into monoaudio or something similar, where the quality is horrible and I can only hear half of the audio from like another room etc. When I use my aux headset, I have no problem. This happens both in the start menu and in hero sandbox. I don't know how to reset it other than restarting the game.

Doesn't look like audio issues via BT ever get adressed. There are reports from more than half a year ago.
