Arcane surge not working properly with blasted

Normally, arcane surge's effects last as long as the ability that was surged (Warden ult, Abrams siphon etc), but with Billy's blasted it only lasts the seven second window that arcane surge should be waiting for an ability used to surge. It even says "Ability surged" on the screen and it gives you the effects, but not for the full duration of blasted. Is this intended for balancing reasons? Or does it have something to do with blasted's extendable duration, where arcane surge is only in effect for the base duration that blasted has? Either way, annoying bug. Fix please
