Queued up for a competitive match. Got 3 hazes and a wraith on my team. Enemy team built metal skin on 5 people within 10 minutes. 45 minute, one sided stomp that was unfun for everyone on one side and hilarious for the other 6 so they just kept drawing the game out. I queue for the game I want to play. If you added a fun free for all pick whoever you want game mode as well I would definitely give it a try. Don't force me to sit through unbalanced games that are a waste of time and keep the abandon penalty.

Lowkey, i think you're attaching too much to a game that's still in beta. There isn't even a 'competetive mode' and the ranks system doesn't work properly. The ranks system exist solely to test the MMR system for when they eventually have a proper competetive mode.
Sounds like you had a bad match and I'm sorry to hear that. That being said, if you're looking for a proper competetive environment, deadlock is not that game yet. You should play this game with that attitude, otherwise you'd be also getting mad at the 100s of bugs this game has

You're right. We all had some not very fun matches regardless of mode as well, so the best thing one can do is be more open minded with these things and enjoy how silly it is to be ulted 6 times by Moes & Krills

The main problem I have is that I was stuck in a game that wasn't fun and wasn't what I signed up for. If I had signed up to play the funny new haha mode then sure. But I didn't. I signed up to play the normal mode. And an hour of my time was wasted that I'm not allowed to abandon without consequences that last beyond the scope of the event. I have limited time during my lunch to play the game. If I had known what my experience would be I would've done something else. I get to play 2 games a day max most days and this ruined it for me. Not saying fuck valve or fuck this event. But my time was ruined

You're picking a fight with a guy who is on the community forums for a video game to say he has a problem with something the developers for that game chose to do because perhaps the message should arbitrarily go in another folder of the site. You do better.

I do agree that it should have been a seperate game mode, but at the same time, it's just a game.
End of the day, it's a free game that's pre-release mode and everything in this game is variable. Sorry that this game ruined it for you, but at least you can play a different game or something once you realised. I guess that it's the nature of april fools, some people won't appreciate it. I'm sure it'll be returned back to normal tomorrow

Again. Not about the game. Don't care that I lost a game, i lose all the time and don't make forum posts about it. I'm just upset at being trapped in a truly unfun experience with no warning or way out.
Crazy people here (not you OP), so many of you are so pressed over a joke event, for a game that you haven't paid for lmao. It's a prank, and some of ya'll treat this game far too seriously. I can appreciate OP lost his time, but damn some of the other comments here make me scared that deadlock might be sliding into the toxic hellhole that other moba's fell into.

Literally said this. My problem was not knowing I was getting sucked into it and wasting my whole lunch break when I would've rather done anything else. Because again we are not allowed to leave the games we don't enjoy without getting punished for periods of time that would affect the games I could enjoy
tho, now that i'm thinking about it, you probably could have just left the game
