When activated stay in one place and charge up momentum. When activated again, or after a few seconds, use all of gathered momentum to shoot yourself in a direction you're moving. If you're on the ground, you will stay grounded and slide until you lose your speed or jump, or be forced upward.

At max charge you shoot yourself at the speed of speed boosted zipline.

ok, but it too prone to abuse and power play. Low ammo? buy that and roll into fights. Fight gone bad? You can hit a wall or obstacle to stop.
If it hardcoded to not be able to stop with obstacles as usual slide, then its bad design and no one gonna buy it. As you obviously want to have control over your character.
